Plaga UAB implements digital production technologies
UAB “Plaga” implements the project “Digitalization of production processes of UAB “Plaga” in order to increase work productivity in the company” (project No. 03.3.1-LVPA-K-854-02-0144). For the implementation of this project from the European Regional Development Fund under the 2014-2020 Implementation measure No. 3 of priority 3 “Promoting the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses” of the investment action program of the European Union funds. 03.3.1-LVPA-K-854 The company “Pramones sižiminimas LT” was granted support of up to EUR 43,275.73 (forty-three thousand two hundred and seventy-five euros and 73 cents).
UAB “Plaga” (hereinafter – the company) has been operating since 1992. a successfully operating industrial company with Lithuanian capital that meets the definition of a small company. The company carries out the production of various types of plastic parts by casting, as well as manufactures and repairs casting molds.
The goal of the project: digitalization of the company’s production processes, creating conditions for the growth of labor productivity.
In implementing the project, the company aims to automate and robotize operations and increase work productivity. A technological (digitalization) audit of the company was performed, i.e. assessment of the current digital level of the company’s production and production-related processes (from raw material entry to final product release and quality control) in order to determine whether the set of specific technologies and production processes correlates with technological development trends in the plastic parts manufacturing sector.
Taking into account the conclusions and recommendations of the technological (digitalization) audit, UAB “Plaga” plans to introduce modern digital production technologies into production. The implementation of the project will not only enable the company to automate and robotize the company’s production processes, it will also enable the integration of both new and existing production equipment into the general automatic control system of the production process. The company will also gain the ability to monitor production in real time, record the number of equipment cycles, downtime, ensure the traceability of raw materials and finished products, etc. All this will make it possible to increase work productivity in the company, create conditions for the growth of the company’s competitiveness and ensure the long-term development of the company’s activities.
The planned digital production technologies and equipment fully meet the requirements of Industrial Revolution 4.0, integrating IT, automation, robotization and mechanics into one integral whole.
